About View4ViewHow does View4View help me get views for my video?View4View is a video exchange program, meaning that members watch each others videos so that people will watch their own videos. The more time you spend watching, the more credits you earn, and the more people watch your video.How much does it cost?View4View is free.CreditsWhat is a credit?View4View uses a system of credits to keep track of how much time each member spends watching videos. Each credit is worth approx. 20 seconds of view time. Basically, you earn credits when you watch other people's videos, and then you spend credits when people watch yours.How do I earn credits?You earn credits by watching videos. You can either watch random videos on the "Watch Video" page, or browse videos by category. In order to prevent people from cheating the system, you must enter a verfication code each time you watch a video to redeeme your credit.How many credits can I expect to earn by watching videos?You will earn 1 credit for the first 20 seconds of each video that you watch, and additional credits each 20 seconds thereafter until you have earned the total credit per view (CPV) for that video.What does CPV mean?CPV stands for credits per view. Since videos are all different lengths it wouldn't be fair for all views to be worth the same amount. Therefore, you may assign 1 to 30 credits per view to each video you add depending on how much time you want users to spend watching your video.Remember each credit is worth 20 seconds, so if your video is 1 minute long, you should assign 3 credits to make sure people will watch the whole thing. Do I have to assign more than 1 CPV?No. 1 credit is the minimum and will cover the first 20 seconds. If you don't care whether people watch the whole thing, then you do not have to assign more credits; however, many people will stop watching your video as soon as they earn their credit(s).Can I earn credit for watching my own video?Sorry, no.Can I earn credit for watching the same video twice?You can only earn credit for watching any given video once in a day.VideosHow do I upload my video to View4View?First you upload it to one of the major video websites such as Youtube®, Metacafe®, AOL® Videos, MySpace®, Revver®, etc. Next, you signup for View4View, click Add Video, and complete the form with your video's information and the embded code from the site where the video is hosted.What video sites do you support?Any site that gives you an embed code that your allowed to copy and paste to other sites. Some examples include: Youtube®, Metacafe®, AOL® Videos, MySpace®, Revver®, etc.When I add my video, what should I select for CPV?You must assign at least 1 credit per video. You have the option of assigning up to 30 credits per view depending on how long you want people to watch your video. Each credit is worth 20 seconds.How do I assign my videos credits?Click on the "Manage Videos" link on your "My Account" page. Select where you want to take the credits from, and which video you want to assign credits to. Then enter the number of credits to assign/transfer.What type of videos can I promote on View4View?You can promote videos on any topic as long as they are appropriate for an audiance 13 years and older. You may not add videos containing nudity, pornography, excessive violence or excessive profanity.Why isn't my video getting any views?Your video will not receive views until you assign it credits. If your video has credits and you still do not receive any views after 24 hours please contact support.Why doesn't my video appear on the page category?Your video will not appear in the categories unless it has a positive credit balance. Make sure that you assign your video credits.New User RegistrationThere are two locations or links to complete this process. One on the main tool bar called signup and another under the user login section called new user signup. In order to register you need to have a valid E-mail account and create a unique user name and password. During the new user registration/signup page you will be asked to verify your password and verification image security feature. You also must be sure to mark the check box to verify that you have read and accept the terms of use.How do I signup?In order to signup you must click the appropriate link either user login or new user signup.What do I do if I have problems signing up?If you experience problems signing up you must double check that you are completing all the required fields. Required fields in the new user signup are marked with a red asterisk. Many possibilities to look at when having difficulties, Make sure that your passwords match, Make sure you are typing the correct verification image and you have a unique username and e-mail. You are only permitted to have one account.Can I have more than one account?No. You are only allowed to have one account.What do I do if I forget my password?Click on the "forgot passowrd" link on the login page. Enter the email address that you used to register and a new password will be emailed to you.ProfilesWhat is a profile?A profile is a page that displays personal information and a picture for each user. Completing profile is optional if you want your viewers to know more about you or your production company.How do I Upload a Profile Picture?You will have a chance to upload a picture when you first sign up, or when you click edit profile on your account page.How do I Edit my Bio?In order to edit your bio you must be logged into the my account page and along the top options there is the option My Profile and this will take you to the page where all the bio editing is done.How do I Edit my Contact Information?In order to edit your contact information you must be logged into the my account page and along the top options there is the option My Profile and this will take you to the page where all the bio editing is done.SyndicationWhat are syndicated views?In addition to viewing videos here at View4View, users can also earn credits and views through our syndication network.When you log into your account you will notice a box containing your syndication code. Copy and paste this code onto your personal websites to display randomly selected videos from View4View and earn additional credits. You will earn 1 credit every 10 times someone visits a webpage with this code. If you choose to have your videos syndicated, your videos will be charged 1 credit for every 10 impressions. How do I syndicate my video?When you add or edit videos there is an option to syndicate your video. If you select yes your video will be displayed on external sites where people have pasted syndication code. 1 credit will be deducted from your video every 10 times it is displayed.What if I don't want to syndicate my video?If you don't want your video to be syndicated than select "No" for the syndication option on the add/edit video page.Referral ProgramHow does your referral program work?Our community will keep getting better as more and more people join. Afterall, the more people, the more views. Our referral program is designed to help us our community grow, and to help you a ton of extra credits.Our referral program is two-tiered, meaning you get credits for people you refer plus anyone they refer. Be sure to use the special tracking link on your referral page to get credits for your referrals.
